Stewardship and Development Intern
|Description:||Work with development staff on various projects and tasks, interact and respond to requests for information from social media and blogs, perform data entry and word processing, file records, maintain constituent data records, and perform stewardship activities in the form of online/social media, mailings, and phone calls. The position would offer opportunity for personal growth and experience working within the non-profit sector, specifically within the area of donor stewardship and events.|
Must be able to be in-office a minimum of 15 hours per week, with advanced notice given for special events in which the intern is needed. This internship has the potential for flexibility with telecommuting (working off-site) in certain circumstances and can be discussed within the interview process.
|Qualifications:||Must be in school and receiving academic credit. This candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills and ideally be a communication major. They should be proficient utilizing a computer and various Microsoft Office products.|
Basic skills include organizational experience with using a database, great attendance and punctuality, positive attitude, and the ability to work on multiple projects in a busy environment.
Preferred candidates: have worked in the non-profit sector or as a volunteer in a leadership role, have an interest in non-profit work, donor relations, special event organizing, and those who have work experience in a communication role.
